Keeping up with the Kardashians…

1980 – Defense attorney Robert Kardashian and wife, Kris Houghton, welcome their second child, Kimberly Noel, to their posh L.A. lifestyle. The growing brood already includes one-year-old Kourtney and will add Khloe in 1984 and Robert Jr. in 1987. By pre-school, Kim is palling around with Paris Hilton, and by 1994, her father is in the media spotlight when he houses and later defends O.J. Simpson following the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

1990 – After her parent’s divorce – her mother remarries Olympian Bruce Jenner in 1991 – Kardashian hits puberty and is ashamed of her growing body. “I used to say my prayers before bed and pray I would stop developing,” she tells Playboy. With time, though, Kardashian grows confidence, even defending the authenticity of her curves: “I always laugh when it says on the Internet that I have fake boobs or butt implants or injected lips, because it’s so not true.”

2000 - Kardashian, 20, marries music producer Damon Thomas (right), 30, who works with the likes of Pink and Faith Evans. But death doesn’t do them part, as Kardashian and Thomas endure a messy divorce in 2004. According to PEOPLE, Thomas calls Kardashian a “compulsive shopper.”

2004 – After singer Brandy appears on a worst-dressed list, Kardashian is hired as her personal stylist. The stint parlays into a full-time business for Kardashian as a stylist and personal shopper to stars like Lindsay Lohan. Around this time, she begins dating Brandy’s brother, R&B singer Ray J. In 2006, business is booming and, with sisters Khloe and Kourtney, Kardashian opens Dash, a boutique in Calabasas, Calif. But in 2008, Brandy and Ray J’s mother, Sonja Norwood, sues Kardashian and her siblings, alleging that they made more than more than $120,000 in unauthorized charges on an American Express card.

2007 – While rumors of a sex tape involving Kardashian and ex-boyfriend, Ray J, swirl, Kardashian denies any such tape exists. “There is no amount of money that could ever convince me to release any tape, even if I had one,” she tells Complex. But the tape eventually surfaces on the Internet, and Kardashian sues Vivid Entertainment to suppress its distribution, saying “it would humiliate me and ruin my family.” By April, Kardashian settles with Vivid to distribute the tape.

Kardashian gets her own E! reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which documents her career and family life, with sisters Kourtney and Khloe, momager Kris, and stepdad Bruce Jenner. The first season features Kim debating whether or not to pose for Playboy. “At the heart of this series – despite the cat fights and endless sarcasm – is a family that truly loves and supports one another,” Ryan Seacrest, executive producer of the series, tells Daily Variety.

Kardashian appears on the cover of Playboy – and bares all inside. “Of course you’re nervous and want more time to work out. But I’m proud to show people who I am,” she tells Men’s Fitness about the shoot. “You always see the typical skinny models and I’m not that and I’m proud not to be that.” In 2008, she inks a deal to be the latest face of Bongo Jeans.

2008 – Kardashian appears as a contestant on the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars. “I was really happy when I saw it was Mark!” she blogs about partner Mark Ballas. “We can actually dance together and that is really, really exciting.” Kardashian is eliminated on the fifth anniversary of her father’s death. “I just know he’s really happy and watching over me and I made him proud,” she says before rushing to her family and breaking down into tears.

2009 - The third season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians returns to E! Upping the ante and the celeb drama, Kim gets LASIK surgery before dancing with the Pussycat Dolls, Khloe poses nude for PETA after dealing with weight issues, and Kourtney hires her mom Kris to manage her career in addition to Kim’s.

2004 – After graduating high school, Colorado-native Heidi Montag heads to California to crack the books at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. At a freshman orientation, she meets Lauren Conrad, star of MTV’s hit reality show, Laguna Beach. “Everyone in the room was kind of gothy, and we were the two blond girls in the room scared out of our minds,” Montag recalls to the New York Times in 2006. “I ran up to her and said, ‘Will you please talk to me.’” Soon after, the new friends plot their move to L.A. to study at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

2006 – MTV develops a spinoff with Conrad called The Hills, featuring Conrad’s move to L.A. as she studies fashion, interns at Teen Vogue, and lives with Montag. Creator Adam DiVello tells PEOPLE, “It’s really about the next stage in life, when you leave high school and leave home for the first time.” In the first season, Montag drops out of FIDM to work for the event-planning firm, Bolthouse Productions.

2007 – During the second season of the hit show, tension surfaces between Montag and Conrad when Montag begins dating instigating bad boy, Spencer Pratt. Montag eventually moves in with Pratt, ignoring Conrad’s warning of his wandering eye and her prediction that it will ruin their friendship. Conrad is also hurt when the couple urges her friend, Jen Bunney, to hook up with her ex, Brody Jenner. “I … felt so betrayed,” Conrad tells Montag.

Although Pratt tells EW, “We would get engaged; we just wouldn’t do it on Lauren’s show,” he does just that. Around that time, Montag appears on CosmoGIRL!, but readers of the teen mag question editors’ judgment. They call Montag “plastic and fake” and say she “trashed her best friend.” An editor responds, “I just wish everyone would cut Heidi a little slack. Just imagine if you and your best friend got into some huge fight, and for whatever reason, you were never allowed to tell your side of the story, but your friend could, and everyone believed her.”

2008 – With her new look, Montag appears on the cover of Maxim, where she says, “[Lauren's] changed. Some people go more Hollywood than others…I’ve heard from other people that she’s a big diva now.” Of their so-called reality show, Montag explains that it’s “22 minutes” that’s “edited for drama…They’re not with us all the time, although I wish they were, because it would be a way crazier show. Let’s see how Lauren would look then!”

Attempting to breakthrough as a singer, Montag releases her music video, “Higher,” which receives an almost unanimously negative reception by PEOPLE.com readers. Directed by her faithful Pratt and featuring a bikini-clad Montag romping across a beach, the underperforming video is shot in 30 minutes, independently, for “zero dollars.” “All negative energy,” Montag tells PEOPLE. “I completely ignore it.”

Montag, 21, and Conrad, 22, appear together – with Audrina Patridge, 22, and Whitney Port, 23 – on the cover of Rolling Stone. The shoot is the first time the two frenemies have been photographed together since their ratings-boosting feud. The magazine calls The Hills – which an MTV exec calls “the most influential show we’ve ever had” – “a maddeningly addictive TV show in which nothing ever really happens.” “Who were Paris and Nicole before they weren’t friends? That’s when they became superstars,” Montag’s Pratt says. “If Lauren and Heidi were friends, people wouldn’t tune in.”

While on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Montag and Pratt elope. “I would be upset if she got married and didn’t invite me!” Montag’s father Bill tells PEOPLE. Montag’s mother, Darlene Egelhoff, similarly voices her disapproval, even claiming Pratt “drugged” Montag into marrying him. The wedding is filmed for season five of The Hills, but isn’t legal in the U.S., as California does not recognize marriages performed outside of the country.

2009 – At 22, Montag officially becomes a Pratt when she marries her longtime beau, 25, in an early evening ceremony at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, Calif. The Hills stars exchange vows before about 200 guests, including Audrina Patridge and Brody Jenner.

Montag appears as Playboy’s latest centerfold and opens up about being perceived as a TV villain. “If women aren’t jealous of you, talking about you and cutting you down, then you’re a nerd,” she tells the magazine. “And I would never want to be that.” She also reveals that isn’t done with plastic surgery and eventually plans to “go bigger” for Spencer.

Born in Tennessee on May 16, 1986, Megan Denise Fox started taking drama and dance lessons at the age of five and thrived from the very beginning. Despite a move to Florida when she was 10, Megan’s parents did not let their youngest daughter forego her talent, and so the future actress continued her training.

By age 13, her dancing had led to modeling opportunities and Fox excelled in this new arena. In 1999, she won several awards at the American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina. With this new credit, Megan fox began venturing into acting, and after she moved to Los Angeles, a future career in showbiz looked probable.

In 2001, Megan made her film debut as Brianna Wallace in Tapestry Films, Holiday in the Sun. Mini Biography

Hayden Leslie Panettiere was born on 21st August 1989 in Palisades, New York. She still lives in New York with her parents, Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere, and younger brother Jansen Panettiere. Her mom got her started in the business by doing commercials when she was just 11 months old. Then, at only 4 1/2, she was cast on the soap opera “One Life to Live” (1968), where she remained until 1997. Since then, she has gone on to appear in many feature films and TV movies. But she is probably best known in the United States for her role as “Claire” on the hit TV show “Heroes” (2006/II).

As for movies, Hayden starred in Remember the Titans (2000) with Denzel Washington and Joe Somebody (2001) with Tim Allen. When Hayden isn’t working, she enjoys singing, dancing, horseback riding, gymnastics, taking piano lessons, and swimming.

She has been involved with many animated movies, beginning with A Bug’s Life (1998) as “Dot”, later to follow was Dinosaur (2000), the video game Kingdom Hearts (2002) (VG), and The Mark of Kri (2002) (VG). Angelina Jolie is an Oscar-winning actress who has become popular by taking on the title role in the “Lara Croft” series of blockbuster movies. Off-screen, Jolie has become prominently involved in international charity projects, especially those involving refugees. She often appears on many “most beautiful women” lists, and she has a personal life that is avidly covered by the tabloid press.

In her earliest years, Angelina began absorbing the acting craft from her parents – her father is the Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight and her mother is Marcheline Bertrand, who had studied with Lee Strasberg. At age 11, Angelina began studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. She undertook some film studies at New York University and later joined the renowned Met Theatre Group in Los Angeles. Angelina got a major break in 1999 when she won a leading role in the successful feature The Bone Collector (1999), starring alongside Denzel Washington. In that same year, Jolie gave a tour de force performance in Girl, Interrupted (1999) playing opposite Winona Ryder. The movie was a true story of women who spent time in a psychiatric hospital. Jolie’s role was reminiscent of Jack Nicholson’s character in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975), the role which won Nicholson his first Oscar. Unlike “Cuckoo”, “Girl” was a small film that received mixed reviews and barely made money at the box office. In 2000, Jolie was asked to star in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001). At first, she expressed disinterest, but then decided that the required training for the athletic role was intriguing. The Croft character was drawn from a popular video game. Lara Croft was a female cross between Indiana Jones and James Bond. When the film was released, critics were unimpressed with the final product, but critical acclaim wasn’t the point of the movie. The public paid $275 million for theater tickets to see a buffed up Jolie portray the adventuresome Lara Croft. Jolie’s father Jon Voight appeared in “Croft”, and during filming there was a brief rapprochement between father and daughter.

One of the Croft movie’s filming locations was Cambodia. While there, Jolie witnessed the natural beauty, culture and poverty of that country. She considered this an eye opening experience, and so began the humanitarian chapter of her life. Jolie began visiting refugee camps around the world and came to be formally appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Some of her experiences were written and published in her popular book “Notes from My Travels” whose profits go to UNHCR.

Jolie has stated that she now plans to spend most of her time in humanitarian efforts, to be financed by her actress salary. She devotes one third of her income to savings, one third to living expenses and one third to charity. In 2002, Angelina adopted a Cambodian refugee boy named Maddox and in 2005 adopted an Ethiopian refugee girl named Zahara. Jolie’s dramatic feature film Beyond Borders (2003) parallels some of her real life humanitarian experiences although, despite the inclusion of a romance between two westerners, many of the movie’s images were too depressingly realistic — the film was not popular among critics or at the box office.

In 2004, Jolie began filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) with co-star Brad Pitt. The film became a major box office success. There were rumors that Pitt and Jolie had an affair while filming “Smith”. Jolie insisted that because her mother had been hurt by adultery, she herself could never participate in an affair with a married man, therefore there had been no affair with Pitt at that time. Nonetheless, Pitt separated from his wife Jennifer Aniston in January 2005 and, in the months that followed, he was frequently seen in public with Jolie, apparently as a couple. Pitt’s divorce was finalized later in 2005.

Jolie and Pitt announced in early 2006 that they would have a child together, and Jolie gave birth to daughter Shiloh that May. They also adopted a three-year-old Vietnamese boy named Pax. The couple continues to pursue movie and humanitarian projects.
